Challenge
- Work, owners and schedules were scattered across departments, which made progress hard to see
- Standards were needed for process execution, shipment approval and record keeping
Work carried out
Process and shipment standards
Defined 7 process stages with exit criteria and 11 shipment conditions
Work-management web and API
Owners, deadlines, progress status, document submission and change history
Automatic Slack alerts
Weekly status reports and per-owner alerts for approaching deadlines
Function tests and operating documents
A 46-page operating standard, 8 forms and web function verification
Design decisions
- Process standards, owners, schedules and submitted documents managed in one place
- Even in 12-unit production batches, inspection and trace records are kept per product

Operating documents
Operating standard, work instructions, inspection standards and forms
Drawn up with reference to the ISO 9001:2015 guidance on documented information: a 46-page operating standard, 2 work instructions, 2 inspection standards, 8 forms and the registers
Procedure numbers P00–P10 are the procedures of chapter 4 of the operating standard, from P00, fixing standards, production plan and ordering, to P10, shipment approval.
